Set-up with the laudable aim of "making garden design more accessible to lower budgets", comes Outward Designs, a Birmingham-based garden design company founded by James Sheppard.
James successfully completed 2005's Insight Out programme, and was awarded £3,000, which he invested into his business upon establishing Outward Designs in Spring 2006.
"For creative businesses, if you're not making money, you're stressed, and you're not as creative as you could be," says James, who has bold ambitions for his thriving garden design business. Ultimately looking to build the company into a franchise, James Sheppard is currently focused on maintaining the steady flow of work through the creation of a new website.
